Tribal Star Tattoos Designs

I’m getting a tattoo in a couple weeks and I’m undecided about colour.?

It’s a pretty basic tattoo and I’ve wanted a design like this for almost 2 years. My only concern is I’m not sure what colours I should have it done and if it should be solid or shaded. Should I figure it out before I get my tattoo done (like go to my tattoo artist the week before) or should I just discuss it when I go in for my appointment. FYI I have fair skin and my tattoo is sort of a tribal vine with a snowflake in front and the star sign for Virgo in front of it all.

i was like you and wasn’t sure of color.. i have the chinese character for “strong” in black with a blue/aqua color wash.. my artist asked me my favorite color.. blue.. then he picked out those and i liked them..
so maybe going in before and discussing it would be helpful.. the artist can usually picture it well and give you their opinion on it.. you could probably just discuss it when you go in to have it done.. if you’re not sure though then just call them and ask what would be better for them..
i think it would be cute in solid black since that’s what tribal looks best in.. maybe a little color.. but i like simple tattoos..
i’d talk to the artist though.. they’re really helpful..
