Does copyright apply to tattoos?
Can I just bring any image I find to a tattooist or do I need to obtain the artists permission?
I have seen so many people with disney characters, film stars etc that would all have been copied from either somebody elses drawings or photographs.
I have been on a couple of websites of artists who say things like ‘if anybody has any tattoos inspired by my work I would love for you to send me pictures and would appreciate your permission to put them on my site’
It’s just this whole copyright thing seems such a big deal nowadays, with warning messages coming up for things like your facebook profile picture etc…
Yes you can but most decent tatooist’s wont copy someone elses work they will modify etc
