If some people see tattoos as a way of commemorating memorable events in their lives, then Peaches Geldof clearly believes her body is her diary.
British socialite Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa Geldof is the daughter of former rock star/political activist Bob Geldof, and she has as many tattoos as she has names – twenty at last count. And she has not been shy about showing them off, as seen in topless photos appearing in the British tabloids and all over the Internet.
The Peaches Geldof tattoos file includes four lines from the Nick Cave song Into My Arms on her lower back (reportedly a tribute to her former boyfriend, ex-rock star Frederick Macpherson), a daisy chain that stretches from below her left breast to just above her left knee, the name of her friend Fifi Brown on her right ankle, the name Max (after her ex-husband Max Drummey) on her left wrist, the words Ex Valentine on her left forearm (for ex-flame Faris Badwan of the British band The Horrors) and an open book with a noose on her right arm (another reference to Badwan).
Other Peaches Geldof tattoos are symbols which supposedly have mystical meanings, such as the dove on her hip which represents love and the playing card on her hand, which denotes good luck.
Compared to her older sister, Pixie Geldof has shown remarkable restraint with the tattooing; she has just one: the signature of her late mother Paula Yates on her wrist.
On the other side of the Atlantic, another wealthy wild child, American socialite Paris Hilton, has also become one of the most popular tattooed celebrities, though she has only two: the name of her former boyfriend Nick Carter (of the defunct Backstreet Boys) on her right ass cheek (since reportedly removed by laser) and a butterfly tattoo in the middle of her upper back (although there are speculations it’s a fake).
By contrast, her sister Nicky has four tattoos: a heart with wings on her right wrist, the name Hilton on the small of her back, a small heart on the inside of her right ankle and a cross on the back of her neck.
